How it works

Every order is protected from listing to delivery

Dabbobi is in development and launching late 2026. This is how the marketplace will work: the buyer's money is held safely, the animal is identified twice, and nobody is paid until the right animal arrives.

An order, step by step

Six steps, the same for every trade

1

The seller lists

Photos, category, location and price, plus a muzzle scan taken on an ordinary phone. That scan becomes the animal's identity.

2

The buyer orders and pays

Payment goes into escrow with a licensed payment partner. The seller can see it is there, but cannot touch it.

3

The animal travels

The seller delivers, the buyer collects, or a logistics partner moves it. Every stage is tracked in the app.

4

Scan at handover

At delivery the muzzle is scanned again and matched against the scan taken at listing.

5

Confirm and release

On a match and the buyer's confirmation, escrow releases the payment to the seller.

6

Or raise a dispute

On a mismatch or a problem, the money stays frozen and the case goes to our team.

Escrow payments

Money moves only when the deal is done

In today's livestock trade, money is sent before the animal moves, and there is nothing to reverse when a seller disappears. On Dabbobi the buyer's payment is held in escrow from the moment the order is placed.

  • Payments are processed and held by licensed payment partners, including Paystack.
  • The seller is paid only after delivery is verified and confirmed.
  • If there is a dispute, the payment stays held until it is resolved.

Muzzle-print verification

Every animal has a fingerprint

The pattern of ridges on an animal's muzzle is unique to that animal and stays the same for its whole life. Dabbobi turns that pattern into an identity, so the animal you paid for is provably the animal that arrives. Not one that looks like it.

  • Captured with a phone camera when the animal is listed.
  • Scanned again at delivery and matched by our model.
  • Verification starts with cattle. Goats and sheep will be added as our model is trained to the same standard.
  • If a scan cannot confirm a match, a person on our team reviews it, so an honest delivery is not lost to a poor photo.

Disputes

When something goes wrong, the money waits

A buyer can report a problem with any order from the app. While the report is open, the payment stays in escrow and our team reviews the evidence from both sides.

  • Animal or product damaged or spoiled
  • Incomplete order
  • Muzzle mismatch: not the animal that was listed
  • Order not delivered
  • Any other issue, described in the buyer's own words
Delivery

Three ways to get the animal home

Seller delivers

The seller delivers or arranges a driver. The buyer scans and confirms at handover.

Buyer collects

The buyer picks up at an agreed point, and the muzzle scan happens at pickup.

Logistics partner

Transport booked through partner operators on the platform, added after launch as volume grows.

Built for how people trade

In your language, on your phone

The app works in English, Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and Fulani, and support will be available on phone as well as in the app, because many sellers would rather call than type.

Fees. Dabbobi charges a small fee on completed, verified orders. We will publish full pricing before launch.
